monkeyrats back by the river

we got back from our travels safe and sound, we felt like we would never sleep off our jetlag, a bit like when we arrived in india at the start of our trip..

its been really good to see family and friends again, it seems like we have to set aside a lot of weekends for weddings, stag do's, etc..

the most weird thing about being back:
  • not eating spicy food every meal
  • not having the colourful chaos at railway stations (porters, vendors, beggars)
  • not getting rickshaws
  • no hot weather
  • no chai
the best thing about being back:
  • not being stared out
  • having bluebells in the local woodlands
  • cycling and canoeing - yippee!!
  • I cannot believe that Jim missed off 'cyder'

Jimbo Monkeyrat: I am currently doing freelance web design consultancy interspersed with canoeing teaching in Berkshire.

Things are slowly getting back to normal, its hard to know where to start after being out the system for 5 months.

Fifi Monkeyrat: Well freelancing doing outdoor stuff and off to Malawi in July for 1 month with World Challenge -Taking 18 young people! and missing 3 weddings - soz guys

We aim to update Monkeyrat with future travel events later this year, like fi's trip to Malawi and my trip to various campsites and cider houses! Keep the vibe alive!
